Agassi was only the 2nd male player in Open Era to complete the career Grand Slam. He did so after winning the 1998 Roland Garros title. The American baseliner had earlier won the Gold Medal in the 1996 Olympic Games held in Atlanta. It made him one of the few great players to have a Golden Slam on his tennis resume. The former world number 1 was known for his slow hardcourt skills. He had a great ability to come out on top in long rallies. Agassi was one of the best returners of the tennis serve. She stood as the world number 1 in WTA rankings for 377 weeks, a record that still stands tall.
